Responsibilities: - Assist with the fulfillment of customer orders in a timely and accurate manner - Work with production and purchasing teams to ensure efficient supply chain management - Kitting of materials (such as bottles, labels, caps etc) for the next day's production - Securing inventory in controlled areas, handling requests for materials from staff - Management of allergens to prevent cross-contamination - Monitor inventory levels to meet customer demand, and production requirements - Monitoring inventory for shelf-life expired items - Monitoring Shopify for the receipt and processing of online orders - Delivery of outgoing product, lab samples etc to shipping centers - Perform lifting and manual tasks as required in a distribution center environment - Loading and unloading of customer and supplier trucks, checking received goods against packing slips / purchase orders and raising outgoing packing slips.
- Forklift duties – loading / unloading of pallets or totes from incoming / outgoing trucks, internal plant movements.
- Delivering product to customers as needed in company vehicles (such as a weekly delivery to the Hudson Valley).
- Occasional collection of products from local suppliers (within 2 hours) - Assist in implementation and utilization of MRP system for inventory control (initial stock take, goods receipt, raising of packing lists etc) - Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency - After on the job training, you will apply for a New York State Milk Receiver’s license, which is required for receiving milk at the plant, and collecting goat milk from our Farm in Canajoharie.
The goat milk is collected every third day (including occasional weekends), and is a shared duty among the inventory team.
- After on the job training, you will apply for a New York State Appendix N testing license, which is require to test all incoming milk for antibiotics.
Appendix N testing will be performed as part of milk receiving.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in a fulfillment or warehouse environment is preferred - Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately - Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices - Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements - Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks as required (up to 50lbs) - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities - This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
